What is RFID ?

Summary

RFID radio frequency identification is a non-contact automatic identification technology that automatically identifies target objects and obtains relevant data through radio frequency signals. The identification work does not require manual intervention and can work in various harsh environments. RFID technology can recognize high-speed moving objects and simultaneously recognize multiple labels, making operation fast and convenient.

RFID is mainly divided into several categories

1. Low frequency: The frequency range used is 10 KHz~1 MHz, with commonly used main specifications such as 125KHz and 135KHz.

2. High frequency: The frequency range used is 1MHz~400MHz, and the commonly used main specification is the 13.156 MHz ISM frequency band.

3. Ultra high frequency: The frequency range used is 400MHz~1GHz, with common main specifications of 433MHz and 868~950MHz. This is commonly known as ultra-high frequency UHF.

4. Microwave: The frequency range used is above 1GHz, and the general specifications are 2.45GHz and 5.8 GHz.

The ultra-high frequency RFID module has a wide range of application scenarios, with the advantages of being able to read multiple tags at once, recognizing long distances, transmitting data quickly, having high reliability and lifespan, and withstanding harsh outdoor environments. Can be used for asset management, production line management, supply chain management, warehousing, anti-counterfeiting traceability of various items (such as tobacco, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, etc.), retail, vehicle management, and so on.
