Why Barcode Scanners Cannot Recognize Barcodes ?

As barcode scanning guns appear in warehouses, supermarkets, convenience stores, and other places, their use frequency is very high. Therefore, many people's understanding of barcode scanning devices only stays at the use level, and when there are unrecognized problems, they will mess up. So I have specially written this article to teach you how to check the reason why the scanning device does not scan.

1. Analyze whether the quality of the printed barcode meets the requirements. Of course, you can directly identify the quality of the barcode with your eyes. The barcode is composed of black and white bars according to the standard, and observe whether the printed black bar is clear. "If there are some white dots or unclear dots on the black bar code, it indicates that the quality of the barcode is not very good, and it can be read using a scanner with better performance.".

2. Check the coding system for printing barcode. The commonly used code systems on the market include code 128, code 39, code 93, EAN-13, and so on. If the barcode system you are printing is not within this range, you must turn on the barcode scanner function to scan other symbols.

3. Check whether the printed barcode is printed completely and whether the printed barcode exceeds the boundary of the label. According to the principle of barcode scanning gun scanning, the barcode must be complete from left to right. Each black and white bar has its own meaning, and incomplete barcodes cannot be scanned using a high-end scanner.

4. If there is a problem with the barcode scanner itself, check whether the scanner is damaged.

In this regard, if you encounter problems that cannot be identified by the scanning device, you can perform a self inspection using the above method. If this does not work, you can contact the supplier or manufacturer for resolution.
